Plenty of companies are committed to creating products using recycled waste materials. If you look around and do some research, you may be surprised by how many are already on the market. There’s everything from shopping bags to backpacks to furniture made from recycled plastic; smartphone cases made from leftover skateboard materials; handbags and wallets made from excess or unusable automobile airbags; bicycles made from recycled aluminum; a line of kids’ toys made out of plastic milk cartoons; and a clothing line that uses PET, a form of polyester recovered from plastic bottles. And if you want to truly “walk the talk”, you can find many lines of footwear made primarily of recycled materials.
